He also served as a Patrol Sergeant managing critical incidents such as robberies, shootings, and barricaded suspects, and held assignments in Gang Enforcement and Auto Theft.

With extensive experience working directly with career criminals and complex investigations, Ernie applies a proactive, intelligence-driven approach to modern security. Michael Severo is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of GS1 Group Inc. Under his leadership, the firm delivers comprehensive protective services and risk mitigation strategies through highly trained security professionals. He directs the company’s strategic vision and operational standards, ensuring the development and execution of security programs designed to safeguard individuals, families, executives, and organizations with diverse and complex security requirements.

Prior to GS1 Group, Michael served more than 20 years in law enforcement as a highly decorated Investigator and SWAT Team member, where he operated as both a tactical operator and instructor. His career included specialized assignments that shaped his professional perspective and provided the experience he now brings to executive-level security operations and advanced threat assessment.
